We are all deeply entangled in our struggles. The bombardment of information, distractions, instant gratification, FOMO, relationship issues, family stuff, work challenges is constant and most of us have no defense system.

Lucky few have found balance, either by luck or by working for it, many strive for it end even more of us have no idea what is happening and how to deal.

From very basic aspects of our lives such as feeding , clothing and keeping ourselves and those we love sheltered to more complex issues as career moves and strategies, our bandwidth is often filled to the brim with survival thoughts and rarely with environmental and socio-political awareness.

And so we get what we have now: a world in disarray and a population too hypnotised to care or act for change. Most who do act are those most impacted by the consenquences of current events ( Minneapolis, Ukraine, Palestine, Iran, etc) .

The proof is in the lack of action to Russia’s aggression even before the invasion of Ukraine in 2022( they started it way before) – some sanctions were announced here and there, but nothing major enough to discourage Putin from carrying on with his annexation dreams. He knew no one would stand up to him, and he was right. Even now, pro-russian states like Serbia have working economical relations with the aggressor state.

Putin kept testing the European Union and NATO’s reactions for decades, diminishing resistance and creating a new normal: bullies can do what they want and we can’t punish them, because we have rules and laws. The problem is, these laws don’t seem to apply to the invaders.

Fast forward to February 2026 and we have a russian marionette as the president of „the land of the free”, a people who suffered genocide inflicting it upon others in Palestine, atacking neighbouring countries that can’t defend themselves, famine reaching an all-time high not because of lack of resources, but because of vicious wars and collective numbness in the world.

We are dangerously approaching an Orwellian future and many of us are unaware. and this is why it will happen.
